Our family run company was established in 1990. We are the owners of stores in Croatia that sell luxury fashion accessories called Karla. Our tourism venture started when the founder, Veljko Matijević, a physician, fell in love with wind surfing. After many travels to all parts of the world in search of a perfect surf oasis, he found it only three hours away from his hometown Split, on Pelješac peninsula, in Viganj. In 2011 Eol Viganj apartments were finished and the Eol story began.

The apartments were named after the Greek god Aeolus, since the warm maestral wind which blows so often in Viganj is one of its main characteristics and the reason why Viganj is such a popular destination among windsurfers. After that, we remodeled a villa in a small village in Cetina canyon, Kostanje, that was built by our grandfather. Eol Kostanje is a beautiful 5* villa surrounded by nature and the perfect getaway vacation spot. In 2020, we opened a new project in our hometown, on the land that used to be the headquarters of grandfathers’ floriculture business, which is now becoming the most desirable neighbourhood in Split. Located just by the sea and right next to the beach, a short ride from the crowded city centre, Eol Split has a lot to offer. All of our properties are 4* or 5*, they all feature an outdoor pool and we pride ourselves in our hospitality and quality of service. We are a family business that truly cares about our guests having the best experience. Our mission is for everyone to fall in love of our beautiful home country and to come back for more!
